Kawasaki announces Z900 and Z650


As well as revealing four new or updated models in the flesh at Intermot, Kawasaki also revealed images of two new models which will be revealed at the EICMA show in Milan next month - the Z900 and Z650.
The Z900 is powered by a new 948cc inline-four cylinder engine based on the Z1000 engine, making 126bhp. Kawasaki has developed an assist and slipper clutch to make action at the lever lighter and assist with excessive engine braking.
The engine is housed in an all-new lightweight steel trellis frame which helps keep weight down to 210kg. The low weight is paired with a low seat height of just 794mm, making the new Zed a good proposition for shorter riders.

The Z900 is suspended on 41mm upside down forks adjustable for rebound and preload at the front,and a horizontally-mounted shock with rebound and preload adjustability at the rear.
The 300mm front discs are gripped by dual opposed four-piston calipers, with the ABS system supplied by Nissin.
The Z900 will be available in Pearl Mystic Gray / Metallic Flat Spark Black, Candy Lime Green / Metallic Spark Black, Metallic Flat Spark Black / Metallic Spark Black and Candy Plasma Blue / Metallic Graphite Gray (Special Edition)

New Kawasaki Z650

Joining the Z900 at EICMA next month will be the replacement for the ER-6n - the new Z650.
The 649cc parallel-twin engine has been reworked to offer a smoother throttle response, better low-mid range torque and improved fuel economy, with Kawasaki claiming 66mpg. The Z650 weighs in at 187kg with a seat height of 790mm. The Z650 also gets the same assist and slipper clutch as the Z900.
The Er-6n replacement uses the Bosch 9.1M ABS unit as opposed to the Nissin unit on the 900. New styling brings the Z650 more in to line with the Sugomi styling of the naked Z class.
The new Z650 will be available in Pearl Flat Stardust White / Metallic Spark Black, Candy Lime Green / Metallic Spark Black, Metallic Flat Spark Black / Metallic Spark Black and Metallic Raw Titanium / Metallic Spark Black. - MCN

Periuk kera mangkuk tandas tupai dan kelawar?

Dalam pelbagai juadah pada musim perayaan Aidilfitri, hidangan lemang periuk kera antara yang menjadi bahan perbualan sejak beberapa tahun lalu. Lemang periuk kera dikatakan lebih enak berbanding lemang buluh yang sudah menjadi kebiasaan dihidangkan Juadah ini dimasak dalam kelongsong periuk kera atau nama saintifiknya Nepenthes Mirabilis dan sangat popular di negeri Pahang dan Johor. Namun di sebalik populariti lemang itu, barangkali ramai yang tidak tahu bahawa tumbuhan periuk kera sedang mengalami ancaman. Dan apa yang wajar diketahui juga, periuk kera  merupakan mangkuk tandas buat haiwan mamalia seperti Kelawar dan juga tupai. Disimbah menantu dengan air panas

SIBU:  Hanya kerana ditegur selalu membawa rakan perempuan balik ke rumah semasa ketiadaan suaminya, seorang menantu bertindak kejam dengan menyimbah air panas ke arah ibu mertuanya. Kejadian tersebut berlaku ekoran satu pertengkaran antara mangsa dan menantu perempuan juga warganegara Indonesia di sebuah rumah sewa tingkat atas di Jalan Laichee sekitar jam 3.00 petang, Selasa lalu. Ketua Polis Daerah Sibu, ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit berkata, akibat kejadian itu, mangsa, 62,  mengalami luka melecur di bahagian muka sebelah kiri, bahagian dada, bahu dan paha sebelah kiri. Katanya, kejadian itu juga disaksikan oleh anak saudara perempuan pengadu. "Mangsa kemudian berlari keluar rumah dan meminta jiran membantu menyapukan ubat gigi di bahagian melecur," katanya dalam satu kenyataan di sini, semalam.
